Tisha
-
-
Is there a guy who hasn’t done a double take upon catching a
glimpse of Auto Extreme’s host, Tisha Silang? Currently a Carrier
Relations Manager for a wireless application provider (WAP) and
former Marketing Manager for Quicksilver, Tisha is really best
known to many as Bb. Pilipinas-Universe for 1998 and was also
among FHM’s sexiest for 2001.
-
Her past gigs on
Mornings@GMA
plus a long list of special events (not to mention some acting
stints) have honed her on-cam presence to a true-pro’s caliber.
-
Tisha actually grew up in Canada, where, as a commercial model,
she won the title of Model of the Year (1993) and Bb. Pilipinas-North
America (1998).
-
Tisha stands five feet, seven inches, but that shouldn’t daunt
most guys, because she’s only 115 pounds. For more of her stats,
watch Auto Extreme and make a guess!

Mondo
-
-
Mon Castro, known to his hard-rocking radio listeners as Mondo, is
one of the top DJs of NU 107. He hosts the station’s staple shows
“Club Retro” and “Euro-rock”. When he’s not playing the music for
you … he’s playing the music for you! -- with his band “The Pin-up
Girls”.
-
He’s got female fans (that he doesn’t know about) from way back in
high school – when he was better known as the doe-eyed guy who
played with a whole lot of balls (basketball, football and
volleyball, that is).
-
Quite comfortable when it comes to being in front of the cameras
for Auto Extreme, Mondo has previously done some hosting for the
shows “Gameplan” and “Details”.

James
-
-
Shhhh! Don’t mention the word “cars” around James or else -- he’d
salivate! Talk about Pavlov! When it comes to passion and love
for cars, Auto Extreme’s Auto Answer Dude, James Deakin, lives it!
-
He races cars for a hobby, used to own a car detailing business in
Australia, is currently the Managing Editor of C! (a magazine
about you-know-what), and for some strange reason – he wanted to
be part of a TV show about cars!
-
Despite his half-British good looks, his wife really gets jealous
over only one thing: that four-wheeled machine in his garage.
But James professes that his true pride and joy and greatest
achievement is his three-year-old son. And if you see him with
his family, you’ll believe him! (Just keep the you-know-what out
of sight.)

Ardie
-
-
Ardie Lopez’ specialty is turning his head 180 degrees to look at
a handsome car that sped right past him at top speed on the
highway – and he can do this without driving straight into a
Meralco post.
-
His lifelong passion, however, has been music. A composer who
used to be part of his own band, Ardie decided to put together his
own recording studio catering to young musicians. But that was
years ago. Since then, that recording studio has morphed into a
full-scale digital multi-media production company which today has
further evolved into Sicomms (pronounced “sigh-coms”) one of the
producers of the show Auto Extreme!
-
Auto Extreme is actually Ardie’s brainchild. And if you ever
catch him ordering the other hosts around – that’s because he’s
also the director of the show! Now, since he’s producer, director
and one of the roving hosts of the show, who gets to order him
around? He does have two kids who get everything they ask for,
and a wife who used to be his boss when he worked as an artist in
a leading advertising agency.
-
Whenever he has free time, Ardie pumps some iron at the
neighborhood gym – just in case the cast crew get out of line.

Issa
-
-
Svelte, smart and sophisticated – that’s Issa Litton at a glance!
(Litton? Yes, yes, she’s the niece.) But don’t let her cool and
chic exterior intimidate you. She’s one friendly spirit that’s
eager to meet people and have lots of fun! Her interests include
horseback riding, soccer, working out at the gym and -- watch out
guys – kickboxing! But on the other side of the coin, she also
loves to play the piano, bake and cross-stitch.
-
A communications graduate of Ateneo de Manila, Issa plunged right
into the world of media and marketing. And if you think her face
looks familiar, it’s no wonder. She’s been a commercial model for
such big brands as Coke, Unilever, Globe and Rustan’s. Before
joining Auto Extreme to become one of its roving hosts, Issa also
did some hosting assignments for basketball, boxing and other
sporting shows.
-
Back in 2001, Issa helped launch “Project Blue Sky”, a vehicle
emissions testing program. So if any of you guys want to turn her
head and please her with your car, make sure to wag a clean
tailpipe!

J.B.
-
-
A fun-loving enthusiastic guy, JB Canlas indulges himself in
life’s simple pleasures. Having spent most of his life in
California, he now takes every opportunity to go out of town and
see our country.
-
JB has yet to participate in any local racing events, although he
did some drag racing in the States. Right now, he just gets his
fill of the motor sports scene as one of the roving hosts of Auto
Extreme.
-
Seemingly a shy guy when you first get to know him, it only takes
a few swigs of beer to get him going. But he’s definitely not one
to drink and drive. JB is a person driven to fulfill his dreams,
and more than anything, he values his education. He is currently
finishing a degree in Advertising and Marketing, but who knows?
Before you know it, this tall, good-looking fellow could very well
be driving straight into the frenzied world of Philippine showbiz!

Kuya Mike
-
-
No, he’s not a comedian we dressed up to play the part of a
mechanic! He’s a real, live, honest-to-goodness grade-A
mechanic who actually owns and operates his own auto repair
shop!
-
How did his relationship with Auto Extreme begin?
Well, during the planning stages of Auto Extreme, we wanted to
have a special segment on the show that would teach the basics
of car maintenance to our viewers. The concept was that a
down-to-earth mechanic would teach a pretty damsel in distress
(played by one of our lady hosts) how to get down and dirty with
her own car. While casting for the part, one of our production
staff members led us to the doorstep – or rather, to the
driveway – of a certain Mike Carillo who was a partner in a
respected talyer in Marikina. He was shot for the pilot episode
and he did absolutely great! Subsequently, he was given the
title “Kuya Mike, The AutoFixItGuy” and what else can we say –
the rest is history!
-
Today, our resident AutoFixItGuy has opened a new
shop called “Kuya Mike’s Auto Fix Center”. O ano? Pa-tune up
na kayo kay Kuya Mike!
