Toyota has been the world's best selling car since its inception in the late 1960s, and for many times has been Toyota's successful model.

For 2001, Toyota has exerted all efforts to bring out the dynamism in the Corolla, which is now known as the Corolla Altis.

Featuring a very youthful and dynamic sheetmetal, the Altis follows the direction set by the current European favorite, the Toyota Yaris (Echo). By moving the windshield a little bit forward, by raising the roof a little bit higher, the Altis had came up with a space that rivals even midsize cars.

But what good is the large size without an able engine to power it? Fortunately, Toyota has thought about this, and concluded that this is an opportunity for their new engine technology to do its job. And so it is, the Variable Valve Timing-Intelligent (VVT-i) engine, no less, has been placed under the Altis' sleek hood. Under the guises of either 1.6 or 1.8 liters, both are remarkable when it comes to city driving and the occassional countryside trips.

Backed by the durability and the reliability that Toyota's been well-known for quite some time now, owning a Corolla Altis is indeed one good experience. The current sales figures tells it so.
